The Hum Hindustani book shares the diverse voices of the children who participated in the research workshops. Based on their poetry and artwork, the book has been designed to encourage children to think of how we are all connected even though we may be different from each other. Art and writing activities have been suggested across the book as extensions to allow children to forge their own meaning of the term “Hum Hindustani”.

Art can pose questions and also reveal answers, and for adults and children to explore these together offers the possibility of building inter-generational solidarities. This book invites both adults and children to open doors, enable reflection and imagine possibilities.
